Swimming Carnival 2025

Chatham Public School held their annual Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 18 February 2025, at the Taree Manning & Aquatic Leisure Centre.

All students tried their very best in their nominated races, with many swimming a personal best time. 

Congratulations to Lewis 4/5S, Bentley 3/4S and Wyatt 2W (pictured right) on representing Chatham Public School at the Manning Zone PSSA Swimming Carnival on Thursday 27 February 2025. 

Reports from Miss Crossingham were that the students were exceptional in their races, with personal bests recorded.

Hunter - 
State Swimming 2025

Wyatt (pictured right) travelled to Newcastle on Monday 10 March 2025 to represent Chatham Public School and the Manning District at the Hunter Regional Swimming Carnival. She competed in two events during the day, 50 metres backstroke and freestyle. 

Wyatt showed great determination during both races and came home with two gold medals. These amazing results then qualified her for the PSSA State Championships, held on Thursday 10 April and Friday 11 April 2025, at Olympic Park, Sydney,

Wyatt swam the 50m freestyle event on the Thursday to finish in 8th place, then swam the backstroke race on the Friday with an impressive 4th result. 

Water Safety Swimming Program 2025

Students from Year 2 were given the opportunity to participate in the Water Safety Swim Program in Week 9, Term 1, 2025.

They gained confidence in the water and learned different techniques to stay afloat, all while wearing big smiles on their faces.
