Chatham Public School held their annual Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 6 February 2024, at the Taree Manning & Aquatic Leisure Centre.
All students tried their very best in their nominated races, with many swimming a personal best time.
Congratulation to Isabella 5/6M, Marley 3/4S, Logan 3/4S, Levi 3/4H and Sienna 5/6M (pictured right) on representing Chatham Public School at the Manning Zone PSSA Swimming Carnival on Wednesday 28 February.
Reports from Mr Sams were that school spirit was high and there was plenty of family support, with all students doing their very best and some personal best times recorded.
Students in Years 2 and 3 at Chatham Public School had the opportunity to participate in the Intensive Swimming Scheme. It was held at the Taree YMCA Aquatic Centre for two weeks from Monday 6 November 2023.
The object of these lessons are for the students to swim at least 25 metres confidently and efficiently, and to have considerable improvement in both their swimming ability and their water safety skills.
