At Chatham Public School, students in Years K-2 classes participate in a variety of fitness games and sport skills. The emphasis is on participation and consideration of others.
Students in Year 3-6 are introduced to many skills and a wide variety of sporting and social activities. Students are also encouraged to develop teamwork and display sportsmanship.
Outstanding students are invited to represent the school at Zone, Regional and State levels in swimming, athletics, cross-country and a variety of major sports. Selection is dependent on skills displayed by students. Chatham Public School tries to give all students a basis for continuing sport at a community level.
